WELCOME TO BALMORAL HOUSE

Balmoral House Private Preschool is located on Tugulawah country meaning bend in the river. We acknowledge that learning has taken place on this land for thousands of years. Balmoral House Private preschool  acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first Peoples of this nation and the Traditional Owners of this land in which we work, meet and play. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Our Centre, Balmoral House Private Preschool, is licensed for 60 children per day. It is located in the small community of Balmoral, Brisbane. We provide long day care in a family-orientated environment where young children are nurtured through our Nursery, Toddler, Junior Preschool and Preschool programs. We attribute a very high status to the teaching profession. We select great people to teach, support them and strongly encourage professional development. We individualise teaching and learning to engage with each child’s curiosity, individuality and creativity.
Balmoral House offers a unique early learning experience through its broad and diverse programs, entirely natural outdoor playground, incorporating imaginative play areas and learning spaces designed specifically to challenge and extend each child’s developmental stage as they progress through their learning journey with us.

PHILOSOPHY

At Balmoral House Private Preschool we want to excite and ignite the power of imagination and curiosity in children and encourage and support them in their journey exploring the world in which they live and the environment in which they play, learn and interact with others.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

Play & learning are entwined in such a way that it is difficult to separate.

Play is vital for children.  When Children’s natural curiosity is encouraged, learning flows!    Through play young children explore and learn to understand the world around them as they come to communicate, discover, imagine and create.

EDUCATORS DESK

Our educational team at Balmoral House will lead, mentor, support and encourage learning in all of our classrooms by planning and delivering a broad and diverse program that uses the EYLF and National Quality Standards (‘NQS’) as its foundation. Using EYLF and the NQS as a founding base, our team will also incorporate an emergent curriculum with the aid of respected learning philosophies of Reggio Emilia. The role of our team is to facilitate learning.
